EXERCISE IS ONLY ONE PIECE OF THE PUZZLE

Exercise is only one piece of the puzzle

Metabolism: millions of chemical reactions within our body that adapt to various environments. We are effectively a hairy bag of chemical soup.

The ageing process: The average adult will add half a kg of bodyfat every year from the ages of 30-60 and lose 0.25g of skeletal muscle.

Muscle: The primary site that metabolises fat and carbohydrate. So, if you’re losing muscle mass as you age, you’re body is losing it’s ability to burn those nutrients. Body Transformation is all about the right environment on the inside and the outside will follow.

There is 4 prominent factors that influence our metabolism (the energy we burn on a daily basis)

Exercise

Deeding

Body Temp

Muscle Mass

Check out the exercise part...

It only contributes 17% of the daily energy that we burn. It doesn't matter if you do 2 hours a week or 20 hours of training a week, that 17% contribution doesn't change.

Here’s a fun fact: Long durations of exercise, endurance programming and adding in double fitness classes at the gym will short-circuit your ability to build muscle. You’re putting your body in a catabolised and overtrained state.

Whilst you might be training consistently in those long sessions, you’re leaving less time for eating and recovering. Which is critical for building muscle (The largest contribution of the energy we burn)

Most people don’t keep (or never achieve) the body they want because they simply focusing on the wrong part of the pie chart.
