HOW DO YOU BURN STUBBORN BODY FAT?

This is a very common question I get from people who are putting in max effort but seeing minimal results. It’s super frustrating I have been there myself

So how do you burn stubborn fat on the belly, hips, back and thighs? I will put it quite simply....

MUSCLE MASS MATTERS

On a daily basis 66% of all energy we metabolise, aka calories we burn, can be attributed to our lean tissue or muscle. (The pie chart)

The vast majority of all energy metabolised each day comes down to how much muscle we have. 

Muscle is by far the most metabolically active tissue. Muscle does not simply sit on your bones.

Muscle is in fact a dynamic reservoir of protein that is consistently being broken down and re-generated every milli-second of your living life.

There is a constant donation or withdrawal of muscle proteins to fuel every physiological process that keeps us alive and functioning.

Muscle is also the main tissue that converts stored energy (protein, carbohydrate and fat) into usable energy. Muscle burns the fuel that drives our metabolism.

So the take home message is...

The more muscle mass you have the more fat you will burn even when you’re sitting on the couch after work!
