Lee's Story

"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take"

Training History:

10 years ago I did kickboxing and lost heaps of weight and got very fit, but I wasn't eating very much.

I then trained at my work gym for 4 or so years. Got down to a pretty good weight and had some muscle, but my food probably wasn't the greatest and I was drinking alcohol regularly.

I trained with a PT in Mooroolbark who we did intense cardio and strength training with. He also guided us in our nutrition. He was roughly following the principles of Metabolic Precision. He was also selling Herbalife, so we ended up having the shakes as meal replacements as well as a whole bunch of Herbalife supplements.

I also went to Goodlife Mooroolbark for a few months where I was following weight programs that I'd downloaded from Bodybuilding.com and I was also finishing my weight sessions with cardio.

I've been doing FIRE & ICE at Vitality FITT for 15 months now and I'm very happy with how I've come so far and look forward to what the future brings.

Favourite Exercise:

Favourite Motivational Quote:

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

– Wayne Gretsky

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

What advice would you give to someone who want to achieve results like you?

Stop putting it off. You can't get any result without doing the work.

If you could have the body of your dreams without working for it. Everyone already would already have it.

In your opinion, what is the most important part of a transformation?

Being consistent with your training.

Also recognising the impact the wrong food choices can make (Realising how much of an affect sugar can have on your body).

What is something you have battled along the journey (mental health, injury, deaths, work etc)?

Injuries, Stress & Tiredness

What else would you like to say? (A brief run-down of your history before Vitality FITT or anything)

I'm very happy with how far I've come in my transformation at Vitality FITT.

I really appreciate all the support my coaches have given me and I could not have done it without them.

I've always gotten results in the past with anything I've tried previously, but not a result as good as this. Training and eating this way also means I should be able to keep my results and even improve on them.

I look forward to throwing out all of my "fat" clothes. I've always tended to leave them in the closet. Maybe I always knew my weight was going to be back and forth and it was easier to keep them "just in case".
