Lisa's Story

“Don’t start a diet that has an expiration date. Focus on a lifestyle that will last forever”

Favourite Exercise:

Bench Press – I love doing a bench press, it’s hard, I focus and I improve gradually. Building up strength is important to me. I feel like when I’m doing my bench press I can see how far I have come and how much more I can achieve if I work hard.

Favourite Motivational quote:

“Don’t start a diet that has an expiration date. Focus on a lifestyle that will last forever”

“Believe in your ability to adapt to change. The best don’t always win. The prepared ones do”

What advice would you give to someone who want to achieve results like you?

To achieve results you need to work hard, you need to want to do it not feel like you have to do it.Take it day by day and don’t give up because you will have a lot of curve balls in the way but that’s life.

Don’t focus on anyone else, keep it about you and you can go as far as your willing to go.

Most important part of transformation?

Truthfully, I’d love to say the results. I don’t believe I would keep going with a transformation if there was no results being seen. But for me my results are being seen because I’ve changed the way I eat and slowly changing my habits.

Nutrition is an important factor into a transformation. Most people can go to a gym or go for a run/walk and think that’s all they need to do to achieve. As well as throwing in a few quick diets/shakes ( when they need to lose a few kgs)

But to implement this as a lifestyle change and understand the ins and outs of nutrition is the key to a successful transformation. You can never learn to much about nutrition and there will always be something new to learn.

Battled along the journey?

This year has been very different for me. I had two jobs for the first half of the year which had me working sometimes 7 days a week . I then moved into shift work which means I can be working anytime of the day or night whilst trying to run my kids around to daycare, kinder and prep transition whilst trying to fit in sleep and exercise when I can get it.

On my sons birthday our house was robbed and had quite a few things taken.

I then had to deal with my oldest dog who all of a sudden started having seizures and vets who didn’t know why it was happening but the money kept having to be given out. Then my youngest dog had to have Knee/Nose and Mouth surgery which also isn’t a cheap procedure and has to be caged up for 12 weeks and getting carried out to go to the toilet the whole time.

Anything else?

I never thought I would do a transformation. I always looked at it as to expensive and a short term result. I now wish I had done it sooner. If I had done it sooner I would have actually saved money on foods that were no good for me, gym memberships that I was actually never using and having such an inspiring group of people to work with and learn from.
